“I think I have a constant language in my photos that is present, but I prefer things to happen naturally.”

Intercru: Where are you from?

Diego: I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Where do you live and work now?

I live in the neighborhood of Villa Crespo in Buenos Aires and I work here as well.

How did you get started as a photographer?

Since I was 7 or 8 years old, as a game, I always had a camera with me on my vacations. When I got much older and I was at university, I came across a course in photography and analog development (the only thing that existed at that time) and there I had a slightly more professional approach.

Working for several years in graphic and audiovisual design, I had the artistic need to reinvent my profession and I started to take photos in a professional way.

What do you do to find creative inspiration?

I try to absorb everything that surrounds me. I love books, videos, trips, and experiences. I also like working the same models on personal projects.

What are the types of emotions that you try to convey in your photos?

I never really think about transmitting something like a specific emotion. I think I have a constant language in my photos that is present, but I prefer things to happen naturally.

What is your favorite part of photography?

Seeing the final results! I love when it’s been a long time from the moment of having made them and I final get to see the work we did.
